Architectural salvage- building stars
Where are the best places to find architectural salvage in New York/Brooklyn at reasonable prices?
More specifically we're looking for brick bracing stars for wall stabilization. Has anyone done this themselves? Any suggestions/cautionary tales?

Demolition Depot on East 125th and Olde Good Things on West 24th are probably the biggest and nicest in the city--but they are NOT cheap. Otherwise, there's a small place called Eddie's on Greene Ave in Brooklyn. The outdoor place on Houston and Bowery also has some things. United Wrecking in Stamford is also worth the trip.
