anyone have a recommendation for a mirror and glass installer? i need a mirror measured/installed in a new construction bathroom…nothing fancy.
both companies recommended in other forum posts (Bear,Paradise) don’t seem to return phone calls.

Can anyone recommend a glass company. I need to replace the glass panels in my front entry doors.

I live on 6th Avenue in Park Slope. Recently I broke one panel of glass on the inside door of our double front door at the top of the stoop. It was 1875-ish original etched, patterned glass identical to that found in other inner doors on the block. The second (right hand) panel is intact (and I have saved several large shards of the broken left hand panel as samples). Question: Where do I turn to get a replacement pane? Who can custom etch a replica? Anyone know an answer? (It can’t be the first time this has happened).

Over the weekend, I shattered the glass on a table exactly like the one shown in the picture. Does anyone know where in the Brooklyn Heights / Cobble Hill area I can get a replacement piece of glass?

It’s 8mm tempered glass, that is 17.75 square inches.

I called Vila (on Ditmas Blvd) because they are used by my old condo building in Manhattan. I needed a double pane thermal insulated window glass replaced and the rising mechanism replaced on another one. They came promptly the next morning even calling 5 mins ahead to say they were on their way. The window was a custom size (about 32 x 40) so they said they’d be a few hours before they could get another one. Instead, I had them come back this morning and they were there prompty at 7:30!

The work took all of maybe 20 minutes. The thermal pane replacement was $145 and the spring mechanisms $75 and I was quite pleased.

These guys represent what a service business should be.

Hi there, we have a sunroom off the back of our townhouse that is leaking huge amounts from one of the tops panes. It appears that the glass piece was too small and slid down so there is now a 2″ gap where water comes in. We are ordering a replacement piece of glass but need someone to remove the old piece/install the new piece ASAP.
Also, 3 other glass units are permanently fogged up which seems to indicate that water has gotten in and compromised their seal. We would order replacement glass for these panes as well but are looking for someone who has experience with sunroom systems to remove old panes, seal any leak and replace new panes. Our sunroom is a Florian system. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Today my children shattered the original glass pane of the interior entrance door. The glass had beautiful designs etched on it. Who can replace it with something as nice, please? thanks

I’m trying to replace a single pane in a 15 pane glass door. Any recommendations?

Will glass block be “warmer” than cheapo standard alum framed double pane? I see R values on Co. websites but I wonder as to the conductive quality of a large amount of glass – the Alum windows conduct massive cold (the frames).
