Selling Bathroom Vanity/Sink– Good for Midcentury Modern Fans!
Thought we’d try seeing if anyone here was doing bathroom reno and interested in buying our vanity…
Great condition bathroom vanity, basin sink, and stainless steel faucet for sale. This unit was custom arranged by the previous owner– it’s adorable, but just not our taste. We’ve been told the vanity is a Paul McCobb piece– it’s been distressed over the years a bit, but has been holding up really well, with custom cutouts to accomodate the pipes. Tons of storage inside the sliding doors. White sink is large and deep, with beautiful stainless steel Graff faucet. Dimensions are 36″w x 18″d x 30″h (h is to top of vanity, 36″h to lip of the sink).
Price is negotiable. Asking $600 for the entire unit. More pics available on request.

Dilemma– How to Buy a Boxspring w/out Bedbugs?
Anyone have any suggestions as to where we can buy ourselves a new boxspring and not risk infesting the apartment with bedbugs? I’ve heard places like Sleepy’s and 1800 mattress recycle used mattresses (30 day sleep guarantee), as well as ship new mattresses and pick up old ones in the same truck… how do I know I am getting a clean product? I know I’m obsessing, but the thought of getting bb is just a nightmare… any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Good Dry Cleaner/Tailor in Park Slope?
We just moved to the area, and are looking for a good dry cleaner– mostly for mens dress shirts, but also for the occasional hem/adjustment. Anyone have a good reliable and not expensive suggestion? Thanks!

Slim A/C units to fit with window bars?
Can anyone make recommendations– or does it even exist? We don’t want to start ripping apart security bars on our windows, but we’d like to put window a/c units in… someone must make something that works and fits, right?

Window Screens for Odd Sized Windows?
Hey all–
We have 3 small/odd sized windows which we need to get insect screens for (2 windows measuring about 8″x63″ and 1 15.5″x37″). Is it possible to buy screens for them or better to make our own (obviously we only need to cover the bottom half)? If we can buy them, great– where? And if we should make them, how?

Cleaning Crew?
We would love to get some professionals to clean up our new brooklyn apartment after reno’s are done– vacuum the couch, clean the ceiling fans, windows and kitchen and bathroom… anyone have any recs? and what would be the price on this?

Who Designed This?
We just inherited this vanity/sink combo when we bought our new place. Someone who saw it mentioned it was some sort of designer piece (the vanity is actually a converted cabinet) but they didn’t know the name… anyone have a clue as to the sink or vanity’s maker? there are no signs or markings anywhere to clue us in…

Purchasing a Co-Op – Insurance?
Hey there– we’re in contract looking to close on the purchase of our co-op. We’ve never bought before, and my suburban friends keep telling me we need title insurance… but as there’s no title where co-ops are concerned, we don’t know whether there’s the functional equivalent? We know the bank is getting some insurance on the UCC/Lien search we’re doing, but what about us? Do we need coverage? Our attorney mentioned (only after we pressed) something about an Eagle 9 policy… does anyone have this? see the need altogether? Do we need to cover ourselves and have others done the same? Thanks so much for any advice you can offer!

Ductless Split A/C?
Hey there, looking for some opinions on the A/C units like the ones featured here:

We’re moving into the parlor level of a brownstone soon, and were thinking of installing these. Has anyone done this? Is it going to be crazy expensive to install? Do you need to rip up your walls and set up extra plaster to surround the piping system? Any tips/stories/warnings/rec’s would be much appreciated!
