No Rigging Permit; What do I do?


The contractor I hired to re-do the brownstone on the front of my house neglected to get a rigging permit for his scaffold. We have been served with a stop work order and a hearing is scheduled for Nov. 19th. I have also been written up for not getting permission before hanging “C” hooks on the roof. What do I do? I assume I’d better lawyer up. The contractor has been very hard to get hold of and I am getting worried.

Locksmith recommendations?


I have a few things I need a locksmith to repair/re-install: a downstairs gate lock, a back door lock, etc. My downstairs tenant just got completely scammed by a 24-hour locksmith she called out of the Yellow pages, so I’d like to get a recommendation of a reputable locksmith for service in the Carroll Gardens area. Thanks!
