With MM’s lovely article today I thought it was a good day to ask this… We just bought a brownstone that has been neglected/abandoned for countless years but has wonderful details intact including stained glass throughout. While clearing out the crawlspace this week we found the original very big stairwell window(!). I can’t tell you how excited we are, but as with the other glass in the building it will need some tender loving restoration. We can’t get close enough yet to see details but I’ve attached the best picture I could get. We would also love to identify the artisan(s) of the glasswork throughout the house if possible. I have a number of pictures of the other pieces (a full double hung bathroom window, front parlor lintels, stairway base piece, dining room bays, skylight window, builtin doors etc.). If anyone has experience and would be willing to give us advice or info we’d be very grateful.
