Boxing in Skylights


My old skylights are open to the attic crawl space. I want to box them in with sheetrock so they look like the photo here (which I found in another forum post). Can anyone recommend a handyman or contractor guy to do this?

seeking mason to make mantel


I am looking for a stone worker to make a very simple mantel for our (nonworking) fireplace. Preferably someone with a good design sense who can help us figure out what it should look like.Any suggestions? Also does anyone know of a stone salvage place where I could get materials? Thanks.

seeking architect for bstone reno


We are looking for an architect to design a new half-story on top of our brownstone, and to open/brighten our parlor floor (adding a kitchen to that floor as well). We’d like someone with a modern aesthetic, but who will preserve some of the original details, and make it all look like it belongs. Someone with an interest in ecological systems and materials is a big plus. Any recommendations would be most welcome.
