Electrician Reccomendation
We wanted to highly recommend Mohamed Ben Ali of M&N High Tech. We had a wonderful experience working with Mohamed. He installed an intercom, electric strike system in our 4 story townhouse as well as some smaller electrical jobs. He and his team were so fast – everything was done in about 1 day and a half. When one of the pieces in the intercom system was faulty, he came back as soon as he had the part and installed it in a flash. Everything works great!
He was knowledgeable and clearly explained what he was going to do. His price was really reasonable and he was just a plain pleasure to have around.
We will definitely be going back to Mohamed for future work on the house.
We recommend him and his work without reservation.

Doh! That was wallpaper!?
I’m not looking for help per se, but just curious what someone would do in this situation.
I was about to repaint a room in my new home and as I was chipping away at some peeling paint and getting ready for a quickie spackle job – gasp!- the entire wall started to peel away.
So it looks like there was old wallpaper there, which had been painted over a few times. It’s peeling off very quickly but leaving behind an even layer of gross old adhesive.
So my question is – would you sand the whole wall and then paint the walls OR rewallpaper the room (about 10 x 10).
If I do wallpaper, do I still have to get rid of the old adhesive on the walls?
P.S. I’m under a time line and need this room ready in about a week.
Light fixtures for Parlour Floor
I am trying to find some replacement light fixtures (chandelier or pendant light) for the two rooms of the parlour floor.
They were old gas lights with fancy-pants medallions. The electrician I spoke with said I needed to find fixtures with a bell-shaped cone at the top (see pics).
Does anyone know if you can buy these cones and attach them to any store-bought chandelier or pendant light?
Thanks!
