Giant Carved Wooden “Alter” — Looking for new home
We want to remove this carved wooden alter from our home. Any thoughts on where I might go to have someone take this off our hands. Of course, we’d like to sell it….It is NOT original to the home. The wood is not in great shape. I have close-ups if someone is interested.

Water coming in the basement
During recent severe rainstorms we have experienced water in our basement, it literally seems to be simply coming up through the ceramic tile floor. Does anyone else have any experience with this problem? Any suggestions on whom to go to to fix the problem? Will a sump pump solve our problems?

Feedback on Bay Ridge Windows & Doors
We are considering having Bay Ridge Windows & Doors replace our parlor/garden level windows. We also had Heights Historic look at the job but they are apparently too busy to give us an estimate.
Can anyone tell me about their experience with Bay Ridge — were you happy with their work?

Advice for dealing with inconsiderate church neighbor
We live 3 doors from a VERY active church. On Sundays, the congregation arrives in the morning and is double-parked all day — no tickets ever issued. Children play in the backyard (adjacent to ours) and shout/scream all day. The street is littered with garbage. There is a general lack of respect for neighbors given the noise and disruption to the block.
While I understand that the church was there long before we moved into our home, it is upsetting that the congregation is not more respectful of the neighbors.
Has anyone had these sorts of issues? And if so, how have you dealt with it?
