Need plumber for sink/faucet hook-up
I’ve called 7 plumbers recommended on Brownstoner and all are too busy with heating issues to deal with my little job! I have an antique sink and faucet which need to be hooked up. They are being changed to use modern pipes, etc. at a shop. (I don’t know the correct terminology for the parts being upgraded.) The faucet may not be usable in which case I’ll want to have a new one installed in an existing hole or holes in the countertop. The hole(s) can be enlarged by the carpenter as necessary. Also need dishwasher installed and gas line capped.
I’m flexible on the timing of the work but need it finished within a short time of being started so I’m not without a sink for long. There may need to be some plumber prep work needed before the contractor installs the cabinets and countertop with sink. Coordinating the work is going to be the toughest part of the job.
This shouldn’t be that difficult to explain but I’m too tired to make it more clear. I think it would be a DIY job for many but I would like to have a licensed plumber do it.
Need Rec for Recip Saw
I need a reciprocating saw (Sawzall type) for occasional home use (don’t need heavy duty pro saw). Possible uses: cut 1″ plywood and 2 x… lumber; cut metal pipe and tubing; cut through gypsum board; etc. Can anyone recommend a brand, size, and best blades for this type of use? Thanks!
(By the way, we need a “Tools” category – I didn’t see how to add it)
Parrot in Wallabout
This parrot was hanging out on my porch yesterday evening, eating the food I leave out for feral cats! I sure hope I don’t go out and find green feathers scattered about!
need referral for a code consultant
We need to get some answers regarding fence height, egress requirements from rear yards, nyc approved trash/recycling enclosures, etc. Can anyone recommend a code consultant who could answer such questions?
