Bathroom with no sink
I’m considering renting the top floor of a beautiful brownstone. The main drawback is that the tiny bathroom has no sink. There’s no really no space for a proper sink, and I think the landlord doesn’t want to deal with it right now anyways. I’ve read a thread on Apartment Therapy where people discuss possible options like a camping sink, or pitcher and basin. Has anyone here had this problem and how did you deal with it?
Thanks!
Greenpoint riverfront property mystery
There’s an odd property that stretches between the end of Greenpoint Ave. and Kent street along the east river. There’s a prefab looking building, grass and trees. It seemed strange to have this large, green area fenced off in the middle of all these warehouses, and I imagined whatever it actually was, that maybe it was a secret CIA safehouse;)
Does anyone have any background on this place?
What’s a “Hollywood” Kitchen?
Just saw this term in a rental listing. What would this mean?
Loud reno next door
So the house next to mine is being gutted and I’ve been told the resto will take 3-4 months. Even though there’s nothing going on in front, I’m being woken up every morning with the floor of my bedrooms shaking to thumps and bangs.
I don’t want to cause any drama, but it sucks.
Any precedent for getting projects like this to start a little later or maybe work on certain quieter things early in the morning? I was thinking what I would do if I was the owner next door…
