Subject: RE: Saratoga Park
Darlene, according to Martin Maher, Chief of Staff, Brooklyn, regarding the 7 trees in Saratoga Park that have caution tape around them and a yellow dot spray painted on them, were marked as a precautionary measure to rope off the area because of a hanging tree branch that was in danger of falling. The Parks Department is out there this morning removing the hanging tree branch.
The only tree scheduled to be removed is a dead Norway Spruce by the bathrooms. All work should complete today.

Does This Seem Strange To You
I recently had occasion to speak with the contractor who re-brown-stoned my stoop and painted all the iron work. I mentioned to him that I noticed that he only painted the front of the iron work on the street level windows. His comment was: He only paints the front because he doesn’t want to get paint on the windows!!!
I was so flabbergasted that I had no decent retort.
CURB/AREA WAY ALERT
Since yesterday here has been an upright piano in the area way of 627 MacDonough St sitting closest to the fence. I am sure that it is meant for disposal. The kids on the block were pretending to be musicians last evening
Rebuilding Brownstone Stoop
The stoop has been rebuilt, i.e. it has its scratch coat on it and the underside has been rebuilt. What should go on the underside of the stoop, i.e. the area inside the closet (the underside of the steps)? Should some kind of coating be put on the cement? Many thanks – the contractor thinks it is not necessary to put anything on the cement.
Any Referrals for a Dentist
I know some time ago several people recommended a dentist who I believe is located in or near Park Slope. I did many searches on this site and can’t find these previous posts. Anyone remember who it was? Thank you for any help.
House for Sale in Red Hook
Has anyone seen the house for sale in Red Hook – address 52 Dikeman St.
There was an open house
last w/end and this w/end
It looks lovely but I am
unable to get to the
showing.
Mitsubishi Split A/C
I am having “disappointments” regarding my relatively new split a/c system. The humidity level is never below 70% and usually higher than that. When I check the drainage pipe (clear tubing)there is never an indication of water running down the tube- maybe a few drops which adhere to the side of the tubing.According to the Mitsubishi site it should be taking out 2-5 pints per hour. I have even tried switching to the dry mode and still no improvement. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? Also the air coming out of the compressor is not hot. Many thanks in advance.
