toilet enamel issues


hello all! my adorable, if absentminded, husband forgot to flush before we left the apartment for a week. this resulted in the urine eating away at the enamel on the inside of the toilet at the bottom of the bowl – where the water rests. does anyone know if there is some sort of product i can use to re-enamel the inside of the bowl? any other suggestions? no matter how clean the toilet is (i scrub and scrub…) it looks FILTHY and i want to remedy it… but not enough to replace the entire thing. any suggestions greatly appreciated! thanks!

C of Os and roofdecks


i am looking into building a small roof deck on my coop and i am hearing all sorts of things about what i need in order to do this by the book… do i need to change the C of O in order to do this by the book? i am going to get an engineer report, file for all of the permits and what not but is this something i am overlooking? i just want to try to avoid surprises.

roof decks!


does anyone know where i can find out the codes for building roof decks in brooklyn? i looked on the DOB site and i don’t seem to find any real information. i am going to build one (hopefully) but i want my ducks to be in a row before i submit my application to my coop board. thanks!
