Ceiling Fan Help


Please help! Our kitchen renovation is starting next week and we need a small ceiling fan (with a light), the span should be no more than 32 inches. Home Depot and Lowes do not have a huge stock and we have found quite a few online, but this is a purchase that we would like to ‘see’ before we buy. Does anyone know of any dealers with a large in house selection where we can shop? We do not have a car so Brooklyn/Manhattan is best.

Vegetable Keeper Door?


We are having our kitchen redone soon and we are thinking of restoring the built in ‘vegetable keeper’ that is in the in the wall below the window. The door has been painted over and in probably in bad shape andI am not even sure what it once looked like. Any ideas?

Kitchen Renovation Help?


I am looking to removate a very small kitchen, around 7 x8 with new tile floor, cabinets and countertop and appliances. Can anyone reccomend anyone? I am wirking with a budget, so I cannot go to crazy. Any references would be great!

Turner Towers?


My parents are looking to move to Brooklyn when they retire and they have fallen for an apartment in Turner Towers. Asking is $839,000 with a $1500 maintenance for 1800 square feet, EIK, formal dining area and 2.5 baths. The place needs extensive renovations. The bathrooms and kitchen are not usable. I think it would need approximately 30 to 40 grand to make it livable (bathrooms, walls, floors and kitchen). What should they offer? What is it worth?

Intercom Repair


Hello!

I am looking for contractors who do intercom repairs. The folks the management (Esquire) company insists on using say that the whole system needs to be replaced, but only a few buzzers on the outside of the building do not work (contacts?), the buzzers in the vestibule work fine. The coop is two buildings with 16 apartments in each, it is not a large intercom system. Any suggestion would be great!

Coop Management Company needed!


Help!

We need a management company for our 31 unit coop building. The current company is useless beyond belief. There is a ‘partime super” in the building but I am not quite sure what he does. I know his wife takes out the trash.
