Anyone Using Property Shark?
I am thinking of starting my search for a house in Broooklyn. I was wondering if anyone out there has used Prop Shark and would they recommend all the search options. PShark has a few search options but the cost is about $900/yr. Things like ownerships, foreclosures, comparables etc. Is this worth it or is all this information free somewhere else on the internet? Isn’t all this information public information anyway?
thanks in advance,

Free – Bathroom Mirror
We renovated our apartment and the contractor/cabinet-maker built a mirror that we did not install.
It is 84″ x 39-1/2″ (length x height).
The wood frame around the mirror is white.
It is hung on “Z” clips.
I can send photos of the one that was installed in our bathroom if your interested.
It is free, but you need to pick it up. Both pick up & installation are most likely a two-person job – somewhere between 70 and 100 pounds.

Mortgages for 3-unit Condo
Just curious if anyone out there is a mortgage broker or finance person with some finance input on a question:
We are looking to purchase a condo in a three-unit condo in Park Slope and need to find a mortgage. But my question is how easy (or hard) will it be to find a loan on a three-unit condo? We also are debating the pros and cons of putting down 25% or 50%. The sale is over a million so it’s a jumbo mortgage – but I’ve been told that getting a loan at 25% is impossible; especially a three unit building.
Does one thing have anything to do with the other?
It will be an owner occupied purchase – does that help?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Blackboard Panel for Fridge
I am about to buy a new fridge for our apartment – GE ZIC 360 NXRH – and I am interested in putting panels of chalkboard or blacboard instead of just millwork panels.
If any knows of anyplace or anyone who can make these panels or supplies to our millworker, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks

Child-proof a brownstone stoop railing?
Hello – I just wanted to ask a question to the group.
We live in the parlor floor of a brownstone. There are eight steps leading up
to the front
door. And down below, over to one side and about eight feet down is the
entrance to the
cellar.
So this stoop, and it seems to be fairly typical setup on other brownstones, has
a very low
railing, about a foot off side of the step. It seems to attract the attention
of our youngest
daughter, the rambunctious two year old. The railing comes up to her belly and
she loves
to play and try to swing o it. I’m terrified that she will do a somersault over
onto the steps
below.
I was wondering if anyone has this same setup and if so, what they’ve done with
this.
We are very clear with our kids that it is not ok to play, but the little one
just can’t stop. I’m
thinking of putting up a higher railing but I’m not sure how to do this. Maybe
attaching
some wood railing, or something or other.
If anyone else has faced a similar “child-proof” scenario, i’d love to hear
about it.
Thanks in advance,
thanks
