carpentry recs


I would like to build a wall in the hallway of my brownstone to separate my duplex from the upper two floors. I would also like to build a closet and open a new doorway into the parlor.

Any recommendations for contractors or carpenters to do this job.

MYSTERY: hot water suddenly coming from cold water taps


Late last night hot water started coming from my cold water taps. I’ve had no recent plumbing done. It is happening on all floors of the house. Any idea what the cause might be?
