Wireless in Park Slope is hopeless! Or is it? Help me!

I need help creating a sustainable wireless network in a Park Slope brownstone residence. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and I can’t seem to get the problem diagnosed because every time a repairman comes, the network decides to work! Geek Squad said their only thought was that we could need a new router. I’m happy to get one, but they told me there’s really no way to tell if the router’s even the problem. I don’t know what to do!! Has anyone else encountered this problem? I know Park Slope is notoriously bad for wireless, but there must be SOMEONE out there who has managed to solve it!

I LOVED my roofer

If anyone is in the market for a new roof, roof repairs, or any other kind of roof work, I HIGHLY recommend Peter and his team from Bensonhurst Construction. Our roof was a mess – there were cracked joists resulting in a terrible sag and standing water. Not only that, the roof hadn’t been maintained in probably decades.

Peter really took the time to explain all problems and necessary solutions in detail. He was easy to negotiate with when it came to contract signing, and he beat other estimates we got on the same job by at least a few thousand. Ours was supposed to be a four day job, but because of weather concerns, Peter was able to make it happen in three. Once the roof was opened up, it was evident there was more damage to the joists than originally thought, and more reinforcement was needed. Peter dealt with all of this free of charge.

Bensonhurst worked dawn until dusk and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done (which was quite a feat given that pretty much the whole roof had to come off!) On top of all this, he was willing to work directly with our mason to ensure that repairs happening with the chimney coincided properly with roof work, preventing damage.

Throughout the whole process, he stayed in touch with me and kept me updated, bringing me up to the roof to see things firsthand. All in all, it was incredibly painless. I really do recommend these guys to anyone who needs roof work done.

I REALLY need a contractor specializing in FACADE REPAIR

Hello Brownstoners,

I manage a coop off 7th Ave. in Park Slope, and we desperately need repairs done on the facade including waterproofing, repointing in the back, and so on. If anayone has recommendations for contractos who have worked on their facades and done a good ol’ honest job, PLEASE CONTACT ME! I’m desperate.
