question for the ‘house doctors’
I recently posted a question re structural damage in a home w 2 sets of severely slanted stairs. Turns out there was a fire on the top floor, and the home was likely drenched in efforts to control it. For those of you w a structural engineer bent, would you ever consider a house w this history? Or is this a potential money pit of issues (structural, mold, etc)?
sign of structural problems?
I recently saw a home where both sets of stairs had a pretty serious slant to them. More than the standard ‘old house’ lean for sure. Is this an indicator of serious structural problems?
