ISO Matching Spindle
We’re hoping to replace a missing spindle, without having to have it custom made. Any suggestions for local salvage places or elsewhere? We’ve already tried Eddie’s and BIG.
Access to radiator valve
We are installing a radiator in our kitchen under the countertop and inside a large kitchen cabinet. The screen will be screwed in from behind the cabinet opening. Only now did it dawn on us that we won’t have access to the valve. Any creative, easy-to-implement solutions for providing some access to the radiator? We thought about putting a latch on the far end, but the valve is unfortunately on the inner side.
Reclaimed Wood Floor?
We have a few closets (total of around 50-80 sq ft) with just floor boards. We are looking mto cover them with a close proxy to the original 2 1/4″ herringbone wood floors that are installed elsewhere in the house. Any suggestions on where we might find some pieces or suggestions on how to match the floors? It’s just a closet, so it doesn’t have to be perfect/precise. Wood laminate looked too artificial.
Original brownstone windows
We just replaced the windows on our Brooklyn brownstone.
Come take away the original windows for free.
