We’re new to the neighborhood and we need to get some work done on our restored parquet floor before we move in. We got a quote for $1700 for the following work and we’re wondering if this is reasonable for the area:

>Bedroom (11×13): Lift carpet, sand, seal, 2 coats of poly
>LR (13×18) Poly for 13×18 LR
>2 Small hallways (50 sq. ft): Lift carpet, sand, seal, 2 coats of poly

We’d also love ranges for paint work that anyone has done, assuming prime and 2 coats.

We know that costs vary but any comparison would be helpful.
