Plumber Needed to Move Gas Pipe
Hey All,
We’re looking to move our oven from one side of the room to the other–the existing gas pipe needs to be re-routed either under the floor or through the walls.
Can anyone recommend an honest and reliable plumber to do the job?

Permit Needed to Extend Gas Pipe?
Hey All,
We’re looking to begin a big kitchen renovation, which involves moving the oven from one side of the room to the other. Our contractor is planning on extending the existing gas pipe from it’s original source through the wall, and around to the other side of the kitchen.
Do we need a permit for this kind of thing?

Cabinet Hardware Source?
Hey All,
We’ve finally started our big kitchen renovation and we’re having trouble sourcing good quality hardware for the cabinets.
I’ve looked online but haven’t found anywhere with a great selection. Was wondering if anyone knew of a local shop that specializes in hardware–we don’t want to go the Home Depot route.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Plumber Needed for a Water Main Break
Hi All,
About a week ago, I noticed a small trickle of water bubbling up from a sidewalk crack in front of my building. I called 311, and to make a long story short, they informed me that it’s most likely the building owners responsibility to repair the leak. ( We’re still waiting for a DEP inspector to come around).
Today I noticed that water has now started to bubble up from the base of our basement stairs–yikes!!
Can anyone recommend an honest and reputable company who could deal with this type of problem? I’m afraid the sidewalk will have to be ripped up, trenches dug, $$$, etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Urban Prairie Cabinet Reviews?
Hi All,
We’re replacing our kitchen cabinets and are seriously considering installing Urban Prairie Cabinets, sold at Green Depot. We like the fact that they’re eco-friendly and are made in the U.S. The price isn’t too bad either.
I’ve looked online for customer reviews with little luck, and was wondering if anyone has installed these cabinets or has had any firsthand experience with the company.

Remove Paint From Front Steps?
Hi All,
Our front steps are looking quite shabby as the many layers of paint that have been added over the years are peeling in the high traffic areas. We’ve tried scraping it off but it’s holding hard to areas with no foot traffic.
I’m wondering if it’s possible to sand-blast or power wash the paint off. Does anyone know of a company who does this kind of work?

Front Steps Refinishing Estimate
Hey All,
We’re looking for someone to fully refinish our cement front stoop, which consists of six steps, with 3 foot cement sides (no iron railings).
We’ve had two quotes so far: $6500 and $6700, both by contractors recommended on this site.
Do these quotes sound reasonable? We’d really like some input before we accept any bids.
