Cost of Building?
Hello- I’m looking at an empty lot in a brownstone neighborhood. There is an existing foundation that is probably usable. I know that it varies COMPLETELY, but what is a general, ballpark figure or range for what it could cost to build a 3 story 20×40 home? Think middle of the line- not cheap or shoddy, but not top of the line either. The design will be modern in style. It is not landmarked. I want a soup2nuts cost- architect, permits, GC, materials, etc. I know this is a strange question because of HOW MUCH it can vary, but just a general idea would help me get started. THANKS!
Safety in 2 Unit Coop?
I am considering buying a unit in a 2-unit brownstone coop. Are there any special concerns with purchasing in such a small coop? I would have 45% and the other unit 55%, but the rules stipulate that neither owner can over-vote the other. All costs are split 50/50.
Good RE Firm for Fixer-Uppers?
I’m looking to buy a co-op or condo. I’d love to buy a fixer-upper with original details I can restore/repair over time. I’m open to any level of renovation all the way through gut rehab. What are the best real estate firms for condos/coops needing work in the northern brownstone brooklyn neighborhoods (Park Slope especially) ??
