Small Garden Brick Wall


hello looking for some one to build a 2 foot tall wall by 10? with blue stone on top as “benches” any recommendations? I also need a hole cut out of the existing concrete in front to make a planting bed. Any help is appreciated. I have most of the bricks.

Follow Up to Floor Finish Disaster


After having 3 attempts of “fixing the floors? Carlos and Martin of Interior Finish came by looked at the floors gave us a great price and started the rescue. They were wonderful the job was done in less then a week. They were immaculate with their cleaning and finishing. Any spot I was not happy with they fixed. You have yo understand their were some horrible spots and some would have had to go to bare wood to make it perfect. Also by this time we just wanted to move in. Carlos made sure to add a drying additive to the oil poly. That in less then a week the floors were cured hard and we could move in. Help With Cat 5 Wiring


We have the house installed with cat 5 wires to all the rooms. BUT the question is: HOW DO YOU CONNECT YOUR MODEM AND FEED THE WHOLE HOUSE AND GIVE EVERYONE A INTERNET CONNECTION????
The electrician who did the work does not do it says its tricky, any suggestions?

replace window


of course after the massive reno and redoing all the trim and painstakingly oil painting the trim the sash broke. It is a crappy window from homedepot can I get it fixed? I really don’t think its worth it. Or can I replace the window from the out side? It is on the ground level. Any ideas?

Hello all I am making a large walkway with the bit of blue stone I found buried in my yard. I am looking for any blue stone pieces. HELP!!!! Floor Finish Disaster


After a leak the roofers came in and destroyed our beautiful floors that the GC had done. The GC came in and sanded and repaired the damage and low and behold the finish looked like rice krispies and peeling. Again the GC came in and tried to fix it and then a 3rd time. Now the rice krispies are are almost gone but the floor finish is covered in small scratches and and dust and dirt under the finsh. I and my OCD brother both helped him clean the floor there should not be any thing on that floor. I need a floor guys to advice us on what to do . At tis point I am beyond frustrated I also have furniture piled into 2 rooms and can not move in. We used oil any suggestions???

I recently read a post on Nora Jones on BROWNSTONER. It contained a the following post:
“Why not hate her? She sucks.” I am appalled! Frankly,comments of this nature are short of “hate crimes” this should not be allowed in this forum or ant other forum. I find BROWNSTONER a great resource BUT it seems to be riddled with nasty, rude, condescending, vicous comments of a personal nature. As a member I am asking BROWNSTONER to stop these hateful comments they serve no purpose.
