Garden project and stairs.


So we are getting ready to put in our next order for tile :-) We have the typical stairs out front and also leading into the garden area. I found this picture from the Artistic Abode Tile website showing what tile looks like set as stair risers onto the brick. I think It looks great, we are wanting to do this with more earthy tones. We also have a built in bench in the garden area with a small retaining wall. I think we might just used mixed tiles. Instead of the same pattern. We will keep you posted. I spoke with Christine over at the tile studio today and told her all the positive feedback I was getting on the Brownstoner forum. Installing floor mural/tile persian rug


We just purchased this beautiful 11.5 x 5.5ft tile rug. We are going to be installing it next month. We are in the process of tearing up the floor and we are going to set it. We would like to know if anyone has any sugesstions as to what the best way to apply it would be and what kind of base?
