Contractor Has Not Paid Small Claims Damages
I hired a woman to fix things who instead caused about $6,000 of damage! I won $1000 in small claims (if only I’d been better prepared!) but she hasn’t paid up. Anybody have advice on how to get the moula? I owe my landlord the cash. Here’s a sample of her work.
Would You Like This Kitchen Cabinet?
This cabinet is less than a year old. We took it out to make way for a washing machine. It’s one of those custom Home Depot types, with three drawers, 34 1/2 by 24 by 20 1/2. No idea if it’s worth anything, but whatever someone gives me I’d gladly give back to my landlord. Mostly, I don’t want it to go to waste. It’s in Park Slope, but you’ll have to trek up to the fourth floor to get it. Email alternatelisa AT gmail DOT com if you’re interested. Thanks.
Do I Need a Plumber or Contractor
Pardon the ignorance. We want to have a dishwasher and a washing machine installed. There are no such hookups, and the washing machine would have to be in the room next to the bathroom (perhaps some wall torn down?). Whom do I consult for such a task–plumber? Contractor? Both? And do you have suggestions for a job of this size? Thanks, all.
