Bushwick Irving Square Park area
Looking for feedback regarding this area. We’re a family of 4 that was looking in Bedstuy but our search/curiosity has taken us to Bushwick. We’re familiar with the area around the Montrose L stop but not the Halsey L stop.

Repointing brick for a 3 story brownstone back wall that’s 400sqft. Is $8/per sqft a good estimated cost?

Closing Costs
Besides the transfer tax, what would be a fair percentage of the closing costs to ask the seller to pay? It doesn’t hurt to ask them does it?

2-Fam In Bedstuy Near the G Train
Looking at a few properties around the 79th precinct police station near Tompkins Park.. Spoke with some potential neighbors and got a good vibe, but speaking with the police was a different story… One officer said we’d be better off looking near the 81st precinct station along the J train.. We’re a family of 4 with two kids, age 4 and infant. Any input regarding the park, public pool and public housing in the area would be helpful. Thanks

2 Family Under Construction
I’m looking to purchase a home currently going through a gut-reno that has sloped flooring issues. Told the owner we’d commit to a sale if the floors were level and the problem was corrected. Installing support columns is an expense the owners not willing to undertake. I know a home inspection will put things in perspective, but what are the costs to have the problem corrected before things move forward? Or should I just move on to another property and call it a day?
