Getting Paint off a Cedar Fence

I have a cedar fence in my back yard that a previous owner painted with a latex paint. I want to strip the paint off but am unsure whether to sand it off or to use some sort of paint striper. Any suggestions?

to strip or not to strip

I have a wooden bannister that seems to be stained and then finished with a shellac. some of the spindles are new and are unpainted, and the post are painted with a flood paint. I don’t want to strip the whole bannister, but if I sand it and put a primer coat on it can I then paint it with an oil based paint?

sro

thinking about buying a brownstone in Ft. Greene that is a legal sro. There is one rent stabilized tenant in the building, and the owner has a certificate of non harrassment. What are the pros and cons of this purchase? Can you renovate a house with a tenant in it or are you asking for trouble?

corian countertop

My stainless steel kitchen sink has separated from corian countertop. because the contractor who did the kitchen reno GLUED the sink to the underside of the corian. I assume they were afraid to drill into the corian (but not afraid to take my money for a sloppy job). When I get someone to repair this what should they do or not do when attaching the sink? Can one drill into corian or not?
