Master Plvmber Videos
A couple of years ago there were videos on Brownstoner regarding master plvmber and how to maintain or fix things. Is there anywhere to find them?

Hot water out of our cold faucet
a few of our apartments have been getting surges of hot water out of our cold tap when the oil burner tuns on to heat the hot water for the building. The heating company says it isn’t the boiler, and they have come out to look at it and said that there is nothing wrong with the coils or the boiler itself. He suggested that there might be a worn washer and we need a separate plumber. I was going to get a plumber that specializes in heating systems.
Any recommendations? Does it make sense that it may not be the boiler? If the plumber finds fault with the boiler, do we go after the the heating company under our contract?

Need beams/joists ‘looked at’/replaced
In my 8 unit co-op we have 2 small lollies in the basement. We also have what looks like two other sagging beams elsewhere in the basement. I think the correct course of action is to hire an engineer to find out what if anything needs to be done, then based on that proceed with a contractor on any fixes that are needed. Any input or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I need someone to tell me if I can rip down a brick wall
We have a brick shaft way in our building and we need to know if we can rip part of it out. Who do we call?
