Wood like Paint Color


Is there anyone that can recommend paints that looks like wood. I made the mistake of painting my built-in bookshelf white and it does not match the color scheme in the dining room. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Heights Woodwork


Has anyone had work done by Heights Woodwork recently and if so how did it turn out? The posts that I have read on here about them seem to be over a year old and it sounds like they were going through some type of reorganization then..we are thinking of having a window put in and restored by them and a small portion of a parquet floor restored. Any other recommendations for woodworkers in the PS/Prospect Heights area would be very much appreciated!

How common are Waterbugs?


My husband and I recently viewed a co-op in a limestone building. While looking at the building’s basement we noticed a large waterbug crawling on the wall. We were told by the realtor that the reason for this waterbug was that the building is in the process of putting in a new boiler. Are waterbugs something that should hinder a bid on a co-op? Are they common to most prewar buildings in Brooklyn? We are first time buyers and would greatly appreciate any feedback.
