closing fees
Are these closing fees too high?
Patriot searches $150,
Surveyor $950, recording fees $650, bankruptcy searches $150.
My lawyer is using a title company that wants to charge me those fees at closing.
Filing for utility meters
I am looking at a house
originally built as
1 family converted
to a 2 family.Can’t Locate the C of O with
the building dept. The electrical was upgraded once. Presently,
there a 3 electrical and 3 gas meters.Nobody ever filed for those meters
with the building dept.
What are the consequences
of buying a house like that. The house was built in the 1940′s, therefore an original C Of O should
of been on file, and somebody should of file for those meters when they were installed. The
house is now rent occupied.
Can’t locate Certificate of Occ.
I am unable to locate a C Of O in the Building
dept website . The house was built in 1948.
No utilities meters
I am buying a ” As Is”
brownstone. There are no gas, or electric meters in the house. The gas line is in the basement The electrical wires (service) are there in the basement. No meters attached to either.Does a new residential customer have to buy those meters and pay for installation? If so , How much?
