someone to install a gas cooktop


i hate my jenn-air cooktop (REALLY hate it) and want to replace it with a viking we like. because it has to fit into the existing cutout – so the dimension are more complicated – i want someone to come and measure to ensure that the new cooktop will fit without alterations BEFORE we buy it. the only place that will do this is Gringers – and they are a big pain to work with.

So, my question is: anyone got any ideas/references about who would come measure and then install my cooktop. it is a tiny job and most contractors are just not interested.

new bike lanes on berkeley and lincoln


anyone know what the double parking implications are now that we have bike lanes on berkeley and lincoln? i know you are not supposed to block the bike lines when you double park, but it seems to me that our streets aren’t wide enough to allow for bike lanes, double parking, and regular traffic. Thoughts?
