What figures are you guys using for new fixtures, relocated fixtures, sprinklers, etc…i thought a prefiler told me 3415 was the magic # for new fixtures couple years ago.

Special Inspections


Are the architects here now
farming out all their progress/special inspections for anything but a 3 family house or less?..they keep changing the rules and did not enforce them before with regards to being a special inspection agency.
I have a small restuarant renovation i have to make a few inspections on as an architect.

Kitchenette Design


I was just cited for not having walls around a kitchenette. I am trying to put a 9′ long counter against a wall 20′ to the interior adjacent to the living rm. So if i enclose it, i need to keep it less than 59 S.F.? due to lack of a window…and i also need a 5′ wide circulation space for HC access…just wondering if there is anyway around all this. The plumbing is done so they are not moving it.

Changing Architects


I am taking over a project
that was pro cert and the owner wants to do a regular plan exam with DOB inspections. Some construction has been done. What papers do I need to file? (I was told I have to file a withdrawal but that seems to be for the existing design professional?)

Cellar Bathroom


is it possible to legalize a 3 pc bath in a cellar?..the violation
states to remove the tub.
