We dashed to that thread to see what was the matter

In the BOTD, everyone knows
That Montrose Morris will provide great prose
Whoa….what to my wondering eyes did appear?
The Loki Lounge with both wine and beer!

A party thrown by two lively ladies
Who arrive on the bus, not a Mercedes
With cookies and glitter far as the eye can see
And toys to donate to the RHCC

Come Emily, Come Jon, Biff Champion, we call!
Minard and Ringo, we’re expecting you all!
Please join the party, it’s fun, we swear!
It’s time to dress up and do your hair!

Bring a great toy to donate to the kids
And just be very thankful you’re not on the skids!
Don’t forget the grab bag gift, too
If you don’t comply, we’ll surely boo-hoo!

Put it in your calendar, so you’ll remember

YEAH! The party is TONIGHT (Dec. 9th)! We hope to see you all, new faces and usual suspects alike! Don’t forget to bring a dollar store gift for our Goofy Grab Bag exchange.

Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring a toy for the kids at the Red Hook Community Center. Do not wrap those gifts, please! But, you may put them in a gift bag if you wish. Also, if you purchase a toy that requires batteries, please supply the appropriate batteries for that toy. We need toys for kids of all ages, up through and including teens. Also being collected are blankets to give to seniors. We will be taking all the gifts to the RHCC and making the donation in the name of Brownstoner.com and the Brownstoner.com Readers.

Don’t be shy, come see us and say hello! If for some reason you can’t stay for the party, please consider dropping off a gift for the kids at the RHCC.

Aside from good cheer, the usual tomfoolery, and meeting infamous posters, we are holding a limerick contest. All you creative folks out there, grab a pen and paper or park yourself in front of the computer and come up with a limerick or two related to Brownstoner.com. Try your best to keep it clean (difficult, we know!). Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
