Guardian Angel Window Guards


I’ve seen several people mention these window guards, which are removable (so that a/c can be put in). On the One Step Ahead site, which sells them, it looks like they are installed on the inside of the window. Does anyone know whether they have to be installed on the inside? I would think that would make it difficult to open the window (which is kind of the point of having them), and also that my kids would almost certainly climb up them if they were inside the window…

Plumber’s license question


I’m trying to figure out if this person is actually a licensed plumber. He lists himself as “XYZ General Contractor, Heating & Cooling Specialist licensed & Insured in the State of NY”

Is there a “Heating and Cooling Specialist” license? Or does this mean he’s licensed as a GC, but not as a plumber?

It’s not a question of using him or not at this point, but it would be helpful to me if anyone has any insight on this. Thanks.
