Architect / Professional Engineer Recommendation Needed — simple jon
I have found this forum to be very helpful in the past and am hoping that someone out there can provide me with a recommendation of an *inexpensive* architect or professional engineer. My husband and I are closing on a co-op next week and are wanting to carve out a doorway between two rooms (on a non load bearing wall) — we just need someone who is licensed to draw up a plan for this for the co-op board. We don’t need them to do anything else — hence, the preference for someone inexpensive (and the fact that we are on a budget). Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Kitchen Counter Recs?
My husband and I are looking to redo our kitchen either in granite or quartz. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to check out either in Brooklyn, Queens, or Manhattan? Less expensive is preferable. Also, if you know of anywhere we can get remnants,we would appreciate those recs too. Thanks so much!!!
Elmac Electric?
Has anyone ever heard of them? They are based in Queens — someone recommended them to us and I can’t find anything on them through the Internet. Any info, good or bad, is appreciated!
Electrician license?
My husband and I are looking into buying a co-op that needs some electrical work (contract is out, not signed). I know we need to use a licensed electrician for this work, but I have not been able to figure out if they need to be licensed in New York City. Does anyone know the answer to this? I ask because I know an electrician who is licensed in New Jersey…
Thank you!
