I have to have an asbestos inspection as I’m gut-renovating a 1920′s Brooklyn Apartment. There are a few square feet of cardboardy ceiling tile and a few square feet of black and white self-adhesive tile. I’m almost certain neither have asbestos in them but I could be wrong. What does an inspector do? Sample the air, dust etc or just send sample of each tile to lab for testing?
If he saw no tile…
