Separate Heating Units 3 Family
I want to put separate heating units in a 3 family brownstone. It currently is set up as lower duplex and 2 floor thrus. It now has steam heat fired by oil. I’m thinking of converting to gas. Cant figure out whether i should put 3 small furnaces in basement or put individual gas fired units on each floor of floor thru apts and leave lower duplex furnace in basement? In this economy I dont want to spent a lot. My oil bill last year was $8,000 (old furnace).

Does anyone have any information about sales at this project? Are prices down? Sales down? up? Concessions being offered? They seem far from completing the construction on upper floors (above 2nd floor).

Has anyone bought in the On Prospect Park (Glass) building? Does anyone know what is happening with prices there since pre-construction prices of 2005-2006 will not get appraisals today?
In 2005-2006 Developer was requiring buyers use their mortgage company and appraiser to have “mortgage contingency.” That was because other banks would not appraise units at $1,000 plus sq ft.
Interested in talking to folks with deposits or who are considering a purchase at the development.

Bath Tub Shower Glass enclosure
Can anyone recommend where I can buy a single sheet of glass to use as a shower enclosure on my bath tub. I dont want the two doors that run on a track. I want to use a single sheet of glass from bath tub edge to ceiling to prevent water from getting outside bath tub. Any place in brooklyn. Thanks

Separate Heating units
I want to put separate heating units in each apt of a three family brownstone. Currently there is oil furnace and radiators. Any suggestions on best type of heat to install in each unit. Would forced air or hot water be easist to install. I dont want to rip up walls to install if possible.
