Moving to Brooklyn


The Maly family is moving to Brooklyn, Cat and girl in tow, not buying for now but renting. We are looking at Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill or Carroll Gardens, but not finding much with outdoor space. Ideally, we’d love a 2 bedroom + office with a deck or yard. What should we budget? Are there better rental brokers who know the area? Thank you!

Changing C of O


Hello, O wise ones. Can anyone recommend a professional, experienced architect and/ or expediter to change a CoO from commercial to residential?
Bonus question: how much would this cost?

How much is land worth?


There is an empty plot of land 20×60 next to a house I am considering. It is zoned for a shed or a pool (?). How would you approach the owner to purchase it, and how would you value it? The idea would be to join it with the lot next to it, not to build or add FAR, but to extend the garden.
