Renting in Brooklyn….or at least trying to!


Hello everyone. I’ve been posting on boards for about a month trying to find a little info and i’ve been told somethings i dont wholeheartly agree with. Am I crazy for thinking I can find a 1br in Greenpoint, Clinton Hill, Fort Green for 1200-1400 a month? I would really like some input, and if anyone knows of any good resources for apartment hunting b/c i really dont want to deal with a broker, and craigslist isn’t doing the trick. (or if you know of a good realtor I would love in the info)

first time renter


Hello, I am looking for my first apartment in brooklyn (prefeably the greenpoint or williamsburg area..i know people are annoyed with the young 20 somethings moving in..but i like the area!) Anyways I’ve been reading shady information about trusting brokers and realtors, and I’ve been searching craigslist for about 4 months jsut to get an idea. If anyone knows of a trust broker that isnt going to rip me off or has a resonalble fee I would greatly apprecaite it!

Renting an Apartment in Brooklyn


Hello wonderful and helpful people of brownstoner.com
I thought I would kiss a little butt before I started with this question because I am sure you are all asked this 1000 times a day, but I am in need of help
I am looking to move to the Brooklyn area within the next 2 months. I have found a few neighborhoods I am interested in including Clinton Hill, Fort Green, Greenpont, and Williamsburg. I have been to all 4 areas and I am looking for a reliable and honest realtor in those areas. I’ve searched online and taken advice from other friends, but I was just wondering if people could point me in the right direction, I’ve tried looking in the times as well as craigslsit, but I am not having any luck with finding what I want at the price that I want ( I am looking for a 1br between 1200-1400 hopefully with some utilities included (hopefully), is that possible in the areas I mentioned above?) If anyone could help or knows a trusted realtor I would greatly appreciate the information.
