RK Windows in Greenpoint?


Has anyone ever bought any windows from RK Windows on Norman Avenue, Greenpoint Brooklyn? Anyone buy their double pane windows with outside screen? Looking for either vinyl or more of a historic look.

New Windows for Greenpoint House


Hi – I need to replace some old vinyl windows (double pane with additional screen) with new ones. I’m doing a couple of windows at a time – not all of the windows, and I don’t need to worry about landmark status. The job is for Greenpoint – any recommendations for any local companies in this part of town? Of course, I want good product quality, good installation, fair price… Has anyone installed the traditional windows with screen and glass storm sliders? Or is it mostly double pane with screen these days? Any leads for a good company with product and installation values that you would recommend are appreciated.

I have a wonderful recommendation for a reupholsterer. His name is Andres Vazquez. I’ve been using him for years, and began when his dad, who has since retired owned the business. The name of the business is:

His work is excellent. You can pick fabric from him, or use your own; Andres will come to your house and estimate how much fabric you will need. Andres and his team will also repair your furniture, shore up the under side of the chair, make new cushions
if need be, and can also replicate any of the cushion designs or recommend what works best. We’ve been using him for years and would never go to anyone else.
