Antique cars line Court Street

Tonight’s scheduled filming for Men in Black III promises to be quite the spectacle. All these 1970′s era cars began showing up yesterday in preparation for a stunt sequence that’s planned for tonight. Passersby have enjoyed gawking at the old steel all day

Pull Down Closet Rods for Sale

Hi Brownstoners, I have a pair of heavy duty pull down closet rods for creating two levels in your closet. The handle pulls down the rod to make your clothes more accessible and a light push will send the bar back up to the top of your closet. New they run for $130 each. I am offering them for $75 for the pair. All mounting screws included. I am located in Gowanus on Bond between Douglass and Degraw. Thanks!

Lost Small Black Dog, Flatbush Ave

A small black dog was spotted moving north on Flatbush, away from the Park. I didn’t see a collar, but the dog looked well taken care of. Not much bigger than a lapdog.

The dog was grazed by a car at the intersection of Flatbush and Park, then apparently continued moving down Carlton and disappeared.

GE Apartment Sized Fridge

Dimensions are approx: 29.5″ deep, 27.5″ wide, 57″ tall. In excellent condition with one small blue stain (from one of those gel pack things you use for sprained ankles, etc) on the freezer door. It still works great! It has racks and a veggie drawer in the refrigerator area but I forgot to put those back in before I took the photos. Come and get it!! Thanks!

bricks

I have some bricks left over from a demo job. There are both whole bricks and brick pieces that need to be removed by this Monday, the 28th. Anyone interested? Everything has been cleaned and the pieces could be used as fill for a masonry project. Thanks in advance

Free Antique Piano

I have a beautiful free 1880′s 1890′s upright piano that is available to anyone who hires a professional piano mover. This piano has only had two owners and we would love to see it remain in a Brooklyn home. It’s been on our block in Park Slope for it’s entire life. Frank Sinatra once played on this piano! True!

Free bricks

I have a considerable amount of bricks that need to be removed from a back yard in Cobble Hill. Many of them are whole and in good condition. If anyone has use for them, I can have them brought curb side and placed into a vehicle, etc. Any other suggestions of how i can put them to good use without disposing of them?

Thank You

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

As you all recall, at our Holiday Party in December we had a toy drive to benefit the families who use the services of the Red Hook Community Center. This weekend I received a formal thank-you letter from our contact person there and I wanted to share it with you:

“This letter is to thank you and your team for the Christmas donations in support of Village Care, Red Hook Community Service Center. The children and parents greatly appreciated your donations. Your donations allowed so many needy families enrolled in our parent programs to have a merry Christmas.
We will continue to provide Healthy Workshops, HIV Testing and Computer skills to the families in Red Hook and we look forward to your continued support in 2011.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Luvenia Suber
Site Supervisor, RHCSC”

Thanks again to everyone who generously donated toys and supplies!
