Buying in Bed Stuy/Real Estate Agent
Hi there, My husband and I are looking to buy a brownstone in Bedstuy and have been working with a Corcoran agent. He rarely sends us listings and we’re always sending listing to him. I’m considering switching to a local agency thinking they might have more exclusive listing and take more of a personal interest. I welcome any advice or real estate recommendations. FYI – we’re looking at houses by tomkins park but would consider other neighborhoods too.
Selling Condos in Clinton Hill
We are ready to move out of Brooklyn, so we have to put our 2 condos in CH up forsale. To those who have recently sold condos/properties in the area, do you recommend trying to sell on your own? I know it is a major pain but might be worthwhile to save ALOT of money not going to the agents.
If we were to use agents(most likely), is it possible to negotiate a lower commission if I give them both units (or should I go with 2 different agents?) Would be nice if I can knock off 1 (or half) a percent. Any recommendation on a good agent who specialize in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill?
Thanks for any input. I am nervous about the whole thing.
Realtor for First Time Purchase, FHA Financing?
I’m a first time homebuyer looking for a good buyer’s agent, and would love recommendations.
Here’s my situation: Looking to buy a two family townhouse/brownstone in the $200,000-$500,000 range, and rent out the other unit. I don’t have close to 20% down but I have near perfect credit, no debt and a solid income. I have about $15,000 for a DP and want to keep rest of my cash for unexpected things coming up (another $15,000) so I’ll have to get an FHA or FHA 203(k) loan.
Thanks!
Whats going on at 85 4th Ave??
Does anyone know the agent leasing the old lumber place on the corner of 4th ave and St. Marks?
Need a Good Rental Agent
Hi all – I have a 2 bedroom in a 3-unit house in Windsor Terrace that I am renting. Can anyone recommend a good real estate agent who will take full ownership of showing and renting the apartment? I’m currently living in Japan so I can’t be on site to supervise. While I’m at it, can anyone recommend a good property manager as well? We’re thinking of replacing ours. Thanks!
Good Park Slope RE Agent
We’ve been looking to buy a place in Park Slope on our own for about a month now and have realized that we won’t be able to figure out everything without getting an agent. We haven’t done well negotiating so far and are not sure on determining fair market value on the homes there. Can anyone recommend a local agent in Park Slope to use?
Best,
Ben
Real Estate Agent
I’m looking for an agent to help us sell our 2 Bedroom/2.5 bath condo in Flatbush and locate a 3BR in Kensington/Ditmas Park/Windsor Terrace. Any recommendations?
Thanks
Rental Broker Recommendation?
I’m trying to rent my Park Slope condo but having no takers with Craigslist, StreetEasy and the NYTimes. I’d like to work with a broker now but haven’t worked with a rental broker in years so would love any recommendations for brokers people have personally used.
Thanks!
REBNY Broker Important?
We’re weighing our options as to whom to list our house (in WT) with and were wondering how important it is to choose a REBNY broker. We were told that if we were to go with a non-participating smaller broker they will tell us that they will co-broke, but will, more likely than not, be rather stingy with the listing and will not really share it. Any advice on this?
CoOp Offer Subject to Financing?
Forgive me if this is the dumbest question ever but I’m a complete babe in the woods…In making an offer on a co-op apartment, I wanted to make the offer subject to securing financing. I’m preapproved and have the requisite downpayment so I don’t expect any difficulties but I don’t want to lose any deposit should I not receive financing. The Prudential Elliman realtor insists that an offer contingent on financing is not standard and is not acceptable. Is she right?
