We live in a duplex condo, and over the weekend we had flooding in our basement rec room. It was wall to wall carpet, which got completely soaked through. We had it removed today, and from what we can tell water is coming up from underneath the tile laid below the carpet. I’m assuming there are cracks in the concrete but we really need to get an expert to come in and evaluate where the water is coming from. I don’t even know where to start. Can anyone recommend someone? Also – once the carpet was removed there is a large amount of yellow carpet glue and leftover carpet padding where it was glued to the tiles. Has anyone had any luck removing this glue, or could recommend someone to come and do it for us?
