I have the classic undiagnosed leak in the ceiling/wall of the bathroom in my extension. A little from the recent snow storm and a lot this weekend. Not dripping buckets, but did a bunch of damage to the paint on the walls. No obvious damage on the roof and I don’t yet have a garden hose to do the water test.

I’ll have someone (Nick?) look at it, but am wondering if anyone could share their thoughts on whether this is something that one could just live with? Ie, if I just tile or tin plate up the entire bathroom wall and ceiling to prevent the ugly paint effect, are periodic leaks something generally ok to deal with? There’s nothing behind the sheetrock except for some thin fiberglass batting and brick, so would there be mold risk?
