Hey, I am from Ireland and myself and a friend are going to New York for the summer. We are hoping to live in Brooklyn somewhere like Williamsburg, Green point, Forth Green. Basically a good neighbourhood that has lots of young people.

Anyway being students we are pretty broke so we are looking for somewhere cheap as possible. We are not looking for anything fancy, in fact not by a long shot and would happily share a one bedroom place and just get an extra mattress or something. The main thing is location and we just want to be close to the fun and meet lots of nice people.

So, realistically, what would be expecting to pay per month between us for somewhere like I described around Brooklyn? I intend on using craigslist once we arrive in June but for now I thought I would just try and get an idea from people who actually live around Brooklyn. Would much appreciate any feedback or advice,
