Hi. I recently installed French doors in a previously existing doorway between two rooms in my apartment. It’s a rent stabilized apartment. My very unpleasant landlord is threatening that I violated the law and “created an extra room” by hanging the door. I’m assuming this isn’t true, but want to check. Should I have gotten a permit to hang the doors? I did the work myself. Also, I have a large turtle tank/aquarium in the apartment. He’s saying this is illegal. Does anybody know if it is? It holds my one pet turtle.
