vandalism

we live on fort greene place.
on saturday night @ 11pm someone opened our front garden gate and picked up one of our 2 planted pots and threw it at our 1st floor door.
this is a huge pot with an evergreen tree planted in. it must have been at least 2 people as 1 person can not pick this up.
by the time we went to see what happened – there was no one to see – except a cracked pot and tons of dirt everywhere.
i am wondering if anyone has had vandalism to their home recently.
it is an very invasive feeling.
