Should I reconsider my offer?
Hi all,
I am a Manhattanite looking to buy in Brooklyn and just put in an offer on a great one bedroom co-op in an awesome location for an awesome price. One thing that is giving me cause for concern, however, is that the ceiling in the kitchen unintentionally slopes upward (the floors in the kitchen also slightly slope although this is less noticeable). I’ve noticed this sloping effect in a few pre-war co-ops I’ve looked at (which makes putting in crown moldings impossible I guess!) and I’m wondering if this should be cause for concern? Does it say something about the quality of the building or is it just a part of some pre-war co-ops that we have to live with? That is my only gripe with this apartment – other than that I think it’s great.
What say you wise Brooklynites?
Thank You!
