I just began to use the search feature here. Since I have sheets on two windows, before I opened the Yellow Pages, I searched a few things including blinds and shades. A post titled Shades and Blinds Buyer Beware popped up first. As a salesman, sales manager and sales trainer, I found the thread and exchange between the consumer and the salesperson fascinating. I intend to use it in training and retraining my sales people.

I urge anyone who in any way sells for a living, and also all consumers, to read that thread. In the twenty some odd years I’ve been a sales professional, the landscape has changed dramatically. The thread I mentioned is a perfect representation of the sales landscape today. Any one in sales should know and respect what this consumer has to say.

In an unexpected way, Brownstoner has already become an invaluable resource to me. I’ll be visiting here often.
