I am interested in an apartment, unfortunately it is through a broker. Broker wants one month rent for his fee, in return I will get one month free rent from the LL. What is wrong here? Why doesn’t LL just pay his brokers fee? (i.e., I can’t bring myself to write a check out to broker)
