Live in a 20-unit condo, where the basement holds the building electrical, refuse room, elevator room, etc – and one storage room (4×6 or thereabouts) for each owner.
Unfortunately, the current door (metal) opens inward (due to code, I’m told), so that almost half of the space is unusable for storage.
Hoping to replace it with the sort of rolling door you see in storage facilities.
Does anyone know what the Code requirements for a basement storage room door would be – especially fire ratings etc?
(There’s an electrical outlet in each room, in case that somehow helps identify what kind of code the room would fall under)
